MEU EXPORT CONTROLS
In June 2020, the US Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) expanded license requirements on exports, re-exports, and transfers of items intended for military end use or military end users in Russia and Venezuela to include China. The rule expands licensing requirements and the definition of Military End Use / User to include:
- Military
- Intelligence agencies
- Police
- Major defense contractors
- Entities acting on behalf of military, intelligence agencies, or police
