04.04 - Expert Briefing

Join the Kharon team for a 30 minute briefing on the recent designations of the subsidiaries of Chinese energy conglomerate Inner Mongolia Junzheng Energy & Chemical Group (IMJECG), Aoxing Ship Management Shanghai Ltd and Sea Charming Shipping Company Limited. Both subsidiaries were sanctioned in late March for their roles in acquiring petrochemicals from Iran.

IMJECG operates one of China's largest petrochemical fleets, controlling nearly 80 chemical tanker vessels, dozens of which are managed by Aoxing Ship Management. Many of the vessels are active in maritime trade, according to tracking data.

The Kharon team will review its research and analysis on the designations to include discussion of the complex ownership chains connected to the newly designated entities. Discussion will include best practices for identifying and assessing maritime and sanctions-related risk. Questions will be accepted throughout the briefing with answers provided in real-time.
